The Emperor Humayun At Sri Kartarpur Sahib in June, 1540.
In my article," Aawan Athatray Jaan Stanvay" published in the August, 2008 edition of www.seerat.ca , I have given sufficient proof that Satguru Nanak Sahib had gone to Sachkhand in Sept, 1540 instead of Sept, 1539.Samvat 1597 falls in A. D. 1540.The Emperor Humayun was defeated at Kanauj by Sher Shah Suri in May 1540.He ran towards Sirhind in early June of 1540.He crossed the river Sutlej at Machhiwara(refernce Mughal Kalin Bharta and other History Books). All the Panthic books and Sikh cronicles talk about Aini-Akbari, Akbarnama,Baburnama,Tuzeki-Jahangiri, Shahjahannama, Bahadurshahnama and other Persion Books, but not the Humayunnama written by Begum Gulbadan, daughter of Babur and sister of Humayun.Dr. Ganda Singh and others have done a marvellous service to the Panth, but his bibliography also missed "Humayunnama". The possible reason of this is its late translation from Chugtai-Turkish. Now, it has been translated in Hindi, Urdu and English. With Waheguru's grace, I came accross all the three translations and read them thoroughly. They gave extremely useful informations which are given for your kind information.Let me start from behinmd, Babur died in 1530.Akbar was not born in 1540, only two persons were contemprary of Satguru Nanak Sahib, they were Humayun(35 years old) and Begum Gulbadan(17 years old),in 1540.A.D.Luckily, Begum Gulbadan was a historian. On the advice of Akbar, she wrote Humayunnama in 1557.
After the defeat in the hands of Sher Shah suri, Humamayun, reached Sial Kot (reference of English, Hindi and Urdu translations) in early June 1540.He was camped in Narowal tehsil of Sialkot.Mr. Kwaja Kalan Beg, Babur's trustworthy, was in Sialkot proper.(reference, Hindi translation, done by Sayyed Abbas Rizvi, published by Hindi Deptt,Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh). He sent an application to the Emperor, Humayun, that he(Khwaja Kalan Beg) wished to be present in his court, but he is afraid of his brother, Kamran Mirza(reference urdu translation of Humayunnama, done by Rashid Akhtar Nadvi, published by Sange Meel Publications, Lahore). Humayun immediately armed himself and left for Sialkot and returned to Narowal tehsil(reference English translation of "Humayunnama",done by A.S. Beverage, published by Idarah-I Adabiat-I- Delli,2009, Qasimjan Street, Delhi). On their way back, Humayun and others paid a visit to Kartarpur Dera of Satguru Nanak sahib, Baba Lehnaji and others.
Satguru Nanak Sahib was doing the Katha of Maru Sohle Mahalla- I, holy [page No. 1038-1039 of SGGS."(Thakhat Bahey Takhtei Ke lyke--------" You are not fit for the throne for the time being because you have been defeated by Sher Shah Suri. But almighty Satguru hinted Humayun that God(Khuda) has made all the arrangemets of kingdom when the proper time comes."Dharam Kraye Karam Dhuron Phurmaya", holy page No. 1280 of SGGS.Not only he, but his next generations will rule. On this, happy Humayun asked the Almighty Satguru that how he can know about all this.Almighty Satguru told him that God will arrange to give a glimpse of His arrangements shortly. When he reached Lahore, he had a dream regarding his marriage and the birth of Akbar. He met an old man of Mangol Dystany who told Humayun that he(humayun) will marry a woman of his linage and he will be blessed by a son who should be named Jalaludin Akbar(Highest God).
For your kind information,Humayun was married to Hamida(of Changez linage) and Akbar was born at Amarkot(Sind) before Humayun left for Kabul.During his Lahore stay, he wrote a Rubai(a couplet) and admitted in it that Akbar was due to the grace of God(reference Hindi, Urdu and English translations of " Humayunnama"). He wrote this Rubai to one of his friend which reads as follows-
Dar Aina Garche Khud Numai Bashed
Paivarta Z Kheshtan Judai Bashed
Khud Ra Ba Mislei Gair Didan Ajab Asat
Iin Bulajabi Karei Khudaee Bashed.
(This miracle belonge to God(Khuda).(Reference all translations of Humayunnama). In 1555, Humayun returned from Kabul and was the Emperor of Hindustan second time. His next generations ruled Hindustan.Every thing is arranged by almighty God..
