The Writer of " Macca Madina Gosat".
On the page no. 939 Bhai Kahan Singh Nabha has Mentioned about the Gost of Macca-Medina.Its previous name was Paknama. He has rightly mentioned that it was certainly written by a sikh. Its writer has certain knowledge of Islam because he has mentioned in it that the Satan is Made by only one element. He has also mentioed in it that by listening the voice Of the angel, the dead-bodies will wake up from their graves. The God shall make the judgement in the doomsday. Many imaginative stories are given in it.Macca is Shivling Mandir,Raja Salwan of Sialkot has buried one of the muslim in the foundation of Sialkot city. That is why the muslim attacked India, he thinks this way. This is not linked with the Bani of Satguru Nanak Sahib. Bhai Kahan Singh Nabha has almost reached the truth. But the whole truth is given below, which I have been able to gether from the scattered pages of history.
The writer of the " Macca- Madina Gosat" is undoubtedly, Gulam Hussian Khan of "Sir-ul-Mutakhrin", who knew Gurmukhi also alongwith Arabic and Persion. His parents lived in Nanankana Sahib and "Naihal( his mother'S parents) in Multan. He praised Satguru Nanak Sahib in his book written in 1785. This book confirms that Satguru Nanak Sahib got the worldly education of Arabic and Persion languages from Sayyed Hussain. Sayyed Hussain was a neighbour to Mehta Kalyan Rai alias Kalu Ji.How Ghulam Hussain Knew Gurmukhi ?, is a long story in itself. He wanted to write Sikh history. The Granthawali-Bhai Nand Lal Goya, written by Dr. Ganda Singh states that Goya Nand Lal Singh had opened a Madrassa of Gurmukhi, Arabic and Persion, and this Madrassa continued till the last of ninteenth century.Ghulam Hussain Khan studied in that Madrassa. The son of Goya Nand Lal Singh was his class teacher. He was well versed in Punjabi. He could write both in Gurmukhi and Shahlipi. This Gosat of Macca- Madina is written by Ghulam Hussain Khan in about 1748.In his book "Macca-Madine Di Gosat", Dr Kulwant Singh says that probably "Janamsakhi Bhai Mani Singh"would have been written prior to the Shahidi of Bhai Mani Singh. But actually this Janamsakhi Bhai Mani Singh was written by Bhai Kuer Singh of "Gurbilas Patshahi 10".Bhai Kuer Singh was Bishan Das before taking Pahul from Bhai Mani Singh. He remained with Bhai Mani Singh for four years and studied Sikh literature in order to put some unauthentic and Puranic stories( ref. " SIkhi De Some", by Sohan Singh Seetal). He wrote" Janamsakhi Bhai Mani Singh" or Gian Ratnawali" in 1750.
