The First Sikh-Preacher of Siberia & Europe, Bhola Singha Padat.
The Biggest Proof of my stupidity, is that I did not believe the confirmed and practical possibilities, which Bhai Gurdas Ji stated in 1635,nor I believed in the statement of other Samkali, Mohsin Fani of Dabistan-i-Mazahib(1645). Neither I believed the true statement of Sujan Rai Bhandari (1696). The reason of my non-belief in these precious statments of great writers was, because ,there were less sources for fifteenth century and sixteenth century. Now almost all the manuscripts of these two centuries are available on line and more sources are computerised by Google in 1992 and later on Wikipedia etc. Now The statements of these great writers appear to be absolute true.In his completion of Wars in 1635, Bhai Gurdas ji has rightly stated that in order to redress the grievences of the sufferd public, Satguru Nanak Sahib & Mardana Ji travelled the whole world and Universe,---"Charya Sodhan Dharat Lokai___" Waran Bhai Gurdas". Mohsin Fani's statement is very easy to understand now in comparison to the past. In "Nanac-Punthies" ,as he called the Sikh followers of Nanac Shah.In his Dabistan-i-Mazahib (1645), he states that in the times of Arjan Mal, there was no city and no country of the world, inhibited, where there was no Nanac- Punthes. In 1696, another contemporarian, Sujan Rai Bhandari confirmed on its PP 80 of Khalastut-Twariks(1696) that" Phir Baba Sare Sunsar(Alam) Da Chakar La Ke , Batala Aiya---"
Now a precious of Sixteenth century has come to lime light.Dr. Ganda Singh telephoned to me in 1986,in my Punjab National Bank Branch, Sarabha Nagar, Ludhiana, "that another great Indian P.N. Haksar had printed his valable book. On its page No. 109. he has confirmed the sixteenth century Bronze Vessel in Orsak, belonging to a Sikh trader, Bhola Singha Padat. He regretted that due to his old age, he is unable to find this Sikh in Gurmat chronicles. He ordered that I should find it."I at once wrote this on my first priorities, but after 32 years, my Great Satguru Nanak Sahib cleared this riddle. The archeology department of USSR found A Bronze Vessel in Orsk, in 1951 Excavations. They have Mention the Indian Inscription in Gurmukhi character. The photo with the camera of this vessel are in Leningrad and Moscow Archives. But the Sketch of this lucky vessel, is given on PP 13 of S.L. Shastry' book of 1962-"Contemporary Indian Litrerature, Vol. 2, !962.". He has mentioned PP 31 of Levin. Dr Ganda Singh has also mentioned this valuable reference in The Punjab Past And Present (1986), he has also given the referecnce of this Gurmukhi Inscription as told by G-Bongad Levin (1984).In his Sikh Namavali, Bhai Gurdas Ji has done wisely to save us from confusion while keeping "Sekher Sadh Naoo And Bhuloo Sekher", together, otherwsise we could not understand that if both Naoo And Bhuloo were relatives or separate.Naoo Sekher is son and Bhuloo Sekher is father.Bhai Gurdas Ji said--" Sekher Sadh Wakhaniah, Naoo Bhulu Sikh Suchare" Bhai Kahan Singh Nabha has mentioned Naoo Sekher, a Sikh of Satguru Arjun Sahib( Ref. Mahan Kosh) This means both the son Naoo & his worthy father, Bhola Singha Padat were avalable till the last of sixteenth century, the son lived upto early seventeenth century.Bhai Kahan Singh also gives one more precious piece of information, and Naoo Sekher was a Khatri and a trader(ref. PP 227& PP 687 of Mahan Kosh. Originally, he belonged to Multan District and the In- laws of his father were in Sukkur.
This happened in this way, The first preacher of Siberia was growing very old( about 95 ) in 159O. An Indian delegation of young traders were entered into Russian Territory as Delegation(Studies in Indo-Soviet Relations, By P.N.Hahsar And Others(1986 , PP 110) Bhola Singha was about 25 in 1520, this means, he was 95 in 1590 when the foundatin of Darbar Sahib at Taran Taran Sahib was laid down by Satguru Arjan Sahib. The foundation of Sri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar was laid down by Satguru Ram Das himself, however it was completed by Satguru Arjan Sahib. Satguru Arjan Sahib always called the Mohalla-4" as "Purakh-Bhidate or Pita-Gurdev.(1) " ---Anterjami Purakh Bidhate Shardha Man Ke Poorey"Holy Page No. 13 of SGGS(2)-----"Badhoy Purakh-Bidhate Tan Tun Sohiya-----"Holy Page No. 1362 of SGGS.These two Sikhs-Naoo Sekher his father Bhola Singha Padat, alias Bhuloo Sekhar were given siropas along with "Bhai Behlon, Sabh Ton Pehlon`.`Bhai Naoo Sekher brought from Orsk to Tarn Tarn Sahib for this cermony of laying of foundation of Sri Dardar Sahib Tarn Tarn Sahib. Hence the satement of Bute Shah is totally wrong, when he said that the foundation of Sri Darbar Sahib was laid by Sain Mir. The reality is that the foundation of Sri Darbar Sahib,Amritsar was laid down by Satguru Ram as ji. It had two definite proof, the first proof given by Satguru Arjan Sahib on Holy Page No. 1362.The second historical proof is given by Port-Of-Spain Gazette, 1845.Actully, this proof was installation of an Indian Temple of Port-Of-Spain.Built by A Delegation from Kashmir, Sent by, Able governor, Sirdar Hari Singh Nalwa. in 1821. Mr. Mohan Singh other Sikhs Immigrants found this crucial historical Reference in 1845 in a Temple. built in 1821., whereas "Tarikhe-Punjab" was written by Ghulam-Muhuyudin alias Bute Shah in 1848.
I was talking about the first Sikh Preacher of Siberia and Europe, Bhola Singha Padat."Padat" in Takri is a Learner, as" Pathak" is in Sanskrit. In Persian, it is called "Talib-Ilam", whereas in Gurmukhi Language, it is called Sikh.Hence, Bhola Singha Padat is definitly a Sikh-Preacher of Sixteenth century, as claimed by USSR, Archives,1951. Bhola Singha Padat belonged to Multan District. His co residents of Multan told him that Sarguru Nanak Sahib, was educated, Intelligent and Darvesh. He could not meet Satguru Nanak Sahib, as the later was on Third Udasi with Bhai Sahib Mardana Ji.He Had to wait for some years. On reaching Orsk. one afternoon, Satguru Nanak Sahib thumped the door of hola Singha Padat, and said that`` those persons are at your doorsteps, you are waiting for some years`` After opening the doors, Bhola Singha kissed(Bosa Laina) the Holy Feet of Satguru Nanak Sahib And Bhai Sahib Mardana Ji, one after another.Bhola Singha Padat brought that lucky vessel and got some quantity of Milk in it. As per Sikh Maryada, Satguru Nanak Sahib and others traders took as a Prashad. After some days to the Indian and Russian congregations in Orsk, they left for old Baku of Aiezeaban.by Camel cart which was arranged by Bhola Singha Padat and other traders. Teey held Many Diwans
at Surakhany Temple. Bhai Bhola Singh Came from Orsk on the very first day. Shah of Iran Ismail-I( alias Karun) met him there in Surakhany Temples. He was the friend of Babur Taimuri. He arranged to wtite Japuji Sahib`opening and the name of Chela, Bhai Mardana & Bhola Singha, by Karu``s Masons`( Ref. Zindgani--i-- Shah Ismail-I-Awal, And Phd. thesis of Dr. Ghulam Serwar, 1939, published by Aligarh Muslim University,Aligarh). After one week, they left for Astrakhan, Samara, Moscow and Leningrad. The camel cart was driven by Bhola Singha Padat.I salute to this great peacher, who was the contemporaries of five Satgurus after Baba Budha Ji.
