Jami's Son Zia-ol-Din Yusef Met Satguru Nanak Sahib in Harar in Ethiopia,1518.
Jami was born in village Jam, in Khurasan, now in Gor District of Afghanistan. He is the Sufi of Naqshbandi order,His son, who is sittng on the left of this picture, shifted to Harar in Ethoipia around 1500 A.D.Satguru Nanak Sahib and Bhai ahib Mardana Ji stayed with Him in 1518, before going to the village Baba(now AdisAbaba) on a camel- cart organized by junior Jami( this photo is taken as a courtesy of www.jami-wkipeadia ).

Building is being built near the Dera of Sufi Saint, named Zia-ul-Din-Yusef Jami, the son of great persion poet"Jami".On their way to Baba( now Adisababa), Satguru Nanak Sahib and Bhai Sahib Mardana Ji stayed with this pir, that is with junior Jami( this photo is taken as a courtesy of www.flickr.com ).
Jami was a Sufi saint and was born in Khorasan. He lived in this world upto 1492( ref. A Biographical Sketch of Jami,by William Lees, 1859, Calcutta).Mr.F.Pincott has given reference under the sub-title, "Sikhism" in A Dictionary Of Islam, first published in 1885. He was a collegue of Prof. Gurmukh Singh of Lahore. in 1885, Prof. Gurmukh Singh was shifted from Oriental College to Government College.Prof. Pincott confirms------"It is hardly possible to find a more complete correspondence of ideas( between Nanak and Sufis) than the furnished by the following series, one taken from the Yusuf Wa Zulaikha(Jami), the Persion Sufi; and the others.The Japuji, Jami says:
" Dismiss every vain fancy, and abandon every doubt;
Blend into one every spirit,and form, and place;
See One--know One--speak of One
Desire One----chant of One---and seek One."
