Five Villages Named Baba in In Satguru Nanak Udasi in The West, 1518-1521.
Bhai Gurdas Ji has righty mention the Name of villages "Baba" in his War regarding Satguru Nanak Sahib, but due to the depth of his Bani, we could not understand its full meaning. As in Japuji Sahib, Bhai Gurdas has used many Double-edged-Words.As in Sri Japuji Sahib, the word"Lakh" is used with "Patalan" and "Agasan".The obvious meaing of this word is one lakh or a hundred-thosand.Similarly, Bhai Gurdas has used one Double-Edged-Word"Baba" in his Bani.He says"------Jithe Baba Pair Dharey, Puja Asan Thapan Soaa------"We have taken its 50% meaning, whereas it full meaning is-----where the villages of "Baba" is situated,in those villages, when Baba Nanak went, these villages became the places of worship.
Secondly,The holy Shabads of"Baba" in SGGS,needs our special attention. There are many "Baba" Shabads in Sri Guru Granth Sahib. But I give only three Holy Shabads, so that we can easily understand the true meaning of these Holy Shabads. From Satguru Angad Sahib onwards,we take the meaning of the word"Baba" as Satguru Nanak Sahib. This is cent-per-cent right, but in the Holy Shabad of Satguru Nanak Sahib, who is this personality of "Baba" ?The logical answer of this question is Sufi Darvesh Gul Baba of Hungary. He is known as"Kafir".To this Gul Baba, Almighty Satguru Nanak Sahib is addressing. In Sorath Raag,Almighty Satguru Nanak Sahib under lines that "--Baba Maya Sath Na Hoi-------"Sorath Mahalla-I on the Holy Page No. 595-596 of SGGS.The second Holy Shabad is"----Baba Hor Khana Khushi Khuar, Jit Khadhey Tan Pirhiey Man Mah Chalay Vicaar----"Sri Rag Mahalla-I, Holy Page No.16-17of SGGS.There are number of many Holy Shabads, which are uttered in villages of Baba. These villages are three in number. One in Greece, second one is in Ethiopia In the times of Bhai Gurdas Ji, Adis and Baba were two separate villages. They were joined in 1879, and it was made the capital of Ethiopia.Similarly, Buda and Pest were two separate towns,on the opposite banks of the River Daunabe. These towns were separate and were joined when Budapest was made the capital of Modern Hungary. Therefore, the Map of Travels by Guru Nanak , which is hanged along the office wall of Sri Hazur Sahib is absolutly right in including Hungary in the Travels of Satguru Nanak Sahib. This map was prepared by Prof. Gurmukh Singh of Lahore in 1885-1886.I saw a copy of this map in Sikh Reference Library,Amritsar, but this library has been taken away by Indian Army in 1984.Village Baba is now in Romania, earlier it was in Hungary. The map of Hungary in 16th century, confirms this. Fourth village of Baba lies South-East of Damma in Indonesia(Ref. PP127 of Travels in The East Indian Archipelago, by Albert S. Bickmore,1991( Its irst Edition appeared in 1869).It has more muslim population, second no. goes to Chinese population. Hindu is third place. The fifth village named Baba is in Sindh, near Karachi.

Baba Ana is now in Romania, in the past it was in Romania also, but Ottoman Empire, changed the North-west of Romania to Hungary. The recorded reference of this Sufi Darvesh was given in 17th century, by Evliya Celabi.According to him, this Darvesh came again to Hungary in 1541 with Suleyman-I, the son of Sultan Selim-I.Earlier this darvesh came to Hungary many a time, along with his disciples for preaching. This Statue was got erected by Sultan Pasha in 1548.Ottoman Sultan accepted this so called Cafer, because of Sultan Selim-I.He was the disciple of Pir Bahlol of Baghdad, who died in Baghdad in 1511, and whose tomb bear the name of Almighty Satguru Nanak Sahib. This Pir accompanied Sultan Bayzid-II.This Pir met Satguru Nanak Sahib in 1510 in Ajmer Sharif, in Rajputana.Sultan Bayzeid-II's visit to India is described in some Turkish books, published in Istanbul(Turkey).
The Inscription in Baghdad,1511.

The Three Principalities United Under Michael The Brave.
Hungary, Romania, Checkoslovakia were brought under Michael the Brave.Hence, Baba Ana Village was once part of Hungary. The reason for going to that area, was the establishment of Traders on Silk Road in general, and Baba Anna in particular.(This Photo is taken by the courtesy of www.rounite.com).
